Quite a nice copy of the exceedingly scarce solo debut by this brilliant composer, pianist, writer, producer & polymath. The album is a bit of a collage itself, combining piano & banjo parts obviously rooted in his trad jazz beginnings, tape assemblages, spoken bits (some in an almost Cutlerian vein) and electronic doobles. It's quite a debut, although I've never heard anything by Geesin that wasn't (at least) fascinating. Let's say this is halfway between the Bonzos and Varese and leave it at that.
