Artists names are stored Last Name, First Name. So

If you are not sure what you are looking for, try entering less information. For example,

will match Borbetomagus, if you are not sure how to spell it.

Note: Keyword search may match things that are not displayed on the screen. For example, a search for "jazz" will turn up a lot of entries, but the word "jazz" may not appear on all or even most of them.

Note: You can search two or more formats at the same time if you want. Select one format, then holding the control (PC) or command (Mac) key, select other formats. Or, select "all formats" to include everything.

Note: Genre classifications are always up debatable. One lonely man's prog is another's psych. If you're unsure, you can always search all genres. Here are a few basic pointers, though:

• We generally use the Ramones/1976 as the beginning of American underground. Velvets, Stooges, MC5, etc. get classified as pre-punk.
• Pre-'76 (or so) psych or prog records are filed as psych or prog, not as part of their geographical area's underground section. ex: Les Rallizes Denudes are psych, not Japanese underground.
• Contemporary (roughly post-'76) psych/prog/krautrock/etc. records are filed under as underground (not as psych or prog or..). ex.: Acid Mothers Temple are Japanese underground, not psych.
• Borgetomagus are jazz. So there.
